Camp Seaside

Camp Seaside is our annual camp for families with children. This weekend camp is held in November and, despite its name, takes place in different locations all over Victoria. All Victorian families with children under 18 and a family member living with HIV are eligible to attend.

The free, fully catered camp provides exciting, challenging activities for children. Younger children are welcome to attend and are cared for by qualified child carers so that parents have the chance to relax and take part in their own activities.  Craft activities, games, and a campfire and sing-along or marshmallow toasting may also be offered.

Activities for parents could include yoga, meditation, adventure activities, drumming workshops, crafts and much more. A facilitated workshop is also offered for men and women. This is a chance to explore issues related to living with HIV in a safe, secure environment. Peer support staff are also available if you would like to connect with them.

Many parents appreciate the chance to meet and connect with other parents facing the same challenges that they do in living with HIV. There is plenty of free time in which to wind down and relax while the kids are having a ball participating in the camp activities.
