COVID-19 Update

Living Positive Victoria wants to reach out to you with some information regarding our service and event provisions and access to our office over the week ahead.

Our offices at Coventry House will be closed for the duration of the current lockdown period.

If you have booked a face-to-face appointment with a member of our team, we will be happy to reschedule or engage with you virtually or via the phone.

For the latest updates about the status of our events please visit our events page.

The strength, resilience, and genuine understanding of the responsibility to protect ourselves and others got us through some tough times and is well understood by all Victorians. Despite the obvious and very real personal impacts and frustrations some of us may be experiencing during this period, a genuine commitment to one another is the foundation of everything we aspire to do at Living Positive Victoria.

To help protect yourself and others, please make sure you get your COVID-19 vaccination soon. We are now on Phase 1B of Australia’s COVID-19 vaccine rollout, which means all people living with HIV regardless of Medicare status are now eligible to access the COVID-19 Vaccine. Getting the COVID-19 Vaccine can help prevent severe disease due to COVID-19 and potentially reduce its transmission. To book an appointment call the Victorian Coronavirus Hotline on 1800 675 398.

If you’re experiencing any financial difficulties, our FLIP Fund and the David Williams Fund is here to provide you with some emergency financial assistance.

If you need someone to talk to or need help accessing other services, our Peer Navigation team is here for you. Please give us a call on 98638733 or email us at info@livingpositivevictoria.org.au and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

Until we have the vast majority of people vaccinated restrictions levels may continue to vary in their severity and we must adhere to any current directives as guided by the DHHS such as limited capacity at certain venues, mandatory masks, social distancing and any additional directives coming from the department.

These may impact participation in face-to-face events during the weeks and months ahead of us.

Living Positive Victoria will do our utmost to engage directly with our members and clients who have subscribed to our events around any changes and additional requirements to ensure everyone’s safety.

Finally, if you are experiencing any cold and flu-like symptoms, please stay at home and arrange a COVID- test at your nearest testing location. If you need any support or someone to talk to during these difficult times, we are here for you.

Living Positive Victoria acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land where we work and live. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We celebrate the stories, culture and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders of all communities who also work and live on this land.
