Living Positive Victoria CEO, Richard Keane, welcomes Sarah to the role by saying “as a highly valued member of the HIV sector, Sarah brings with her the experience from a range of roles within the local HIV response, including our peer navigation program. We hope this role will continue to extend her professional capacity and engagement across the range of diverse communities with which we engage and wish her every success in her new role with us .“
In accepting the position, Sarah said that she “feels so privileged and ready to step into the big shoes left behind by our outgoing Health Promotion Officer, Sarah H. I want to ensure the amazing programs and relationships already established remain as inclusive and special as they already do. I want to listen to my community and tailor everything I do for you, building capacity and just giving people a place to be.”
Sarah will bring not only knowledge and experience of the HIV sector, but new ideas to the organisation that will continue to connect the experiences of women, heterosexual men and families living with HIV across Living Positive Victoria’s programs, services and resources.
