Our Peer Navigator team includes women and heterosexual men living with HIV. They have experienced many of the fears and concerns that you may currently be grappling with. They are there to support you and to help you achieve your goals and reach full health and emotional wellbeing.

We run an annual Adult Retreat for women and heterosexual men living with HIV and their partners. This weekend retreat offers a relaxed environment in which to meet other people living with HIV. Every year we go to a different location throughout Victoria; from the seaside to the mountains. We combine fun, interesting activities with some pampering. We also hold facilitated workshops, creating a safe environment in which you can explore issues that arise for you as a person living with HIV, with a focus on HIV health and wellbeing. Our peer support staff are on hand if you would like to talk with them.
Past participants consistently say that they value the opportunity to meet others in a safe, relaxing environment in which they can talk openly about the challenges and triumphs that have come with living with HIV. It is wonderful sharing experience with people learning from each other and developing friendships.
Cook ‘n’ Chat
If you enjoy food you’ll want to check out our monthly catch up for heterosexual men living with HIV, who get together and connect over food and great conversation. On the second Tuesday of the month, men are invited to help prepare a delicious meal in the Positive Living Centre kitchen then kick back and enjoy the food in the fine company of others who share the experience of living with HIV. The emphasis is on social connection, but may include a guest presenter on a topic of interest to the members of the group.
