Call for nominations

Living Positive Victoria’s mission is to enable and empower all people affected by and living with HIV to be part of a response that seeks an end to the HIV epidemic. A strong and effective board will keep people living with HIV at the forefront of the response. This will require a dedicated team to align with the vision of the organisation to see a world where people living with HIV live their lives to their full potential, in good health and free from discrimination.

Beyond ensuring the good governance of the organisation, elected directors will play a significant role overseeing the implementation of our Strategic Plan 2018 and Beyond, as well as supporting staff, volunteers and stakeholders through new opportunities and challenges as we advocate for the health and wellbeing of the HIV community in Victoria.

The board and staff of Living Positive Victoria are guided by the following values:

With a new strategic plan to be launched at this year’s AGM, the board is seeking four directors to join an outstanding team to deliver on our mission to enable and empower all people affected by and living with HIV in Victoria to be part of the response that seeks an end to the HIV epidemic.

We are particularly seeking candidates with expertise in the areas of:

• Finance and accounting
• Governance and risk management
• Fundraising
• Business development

Nomination process

Nominations are now open and close at 11:59pm on Friday 16 September 2022. There are a total of four (4) positions available for election. These positions must be held by full members of the organisation and are elected by members. An election will only be conducted if the number of nominees exceeds the number of vacant positions.

Applications including the Board Nomination Form and the Supporting Statement MUST be submitted to no later than 11:59pm on Friday 16 September 2022.
