Living Positive Victoria (LPV) is looking for a self-motivated Health Promotion Officer to coordinate a range of HIV peer-based health promotion programs to support the health and emotional wellbeing of women, heterosexual men and families living with HIV, and the coordination, administration and delivery of the Positive Leadership Development Institute (PLDI) workshops open to all people living with HIV.

In this role you will be responsible for the coordination of PLDI workshops and programs for women, heterosexual men and families. This role requires well developed understanding of the social determinants of health, the impact of living with HIV, the personal impact of HIV disclosure and the associated stigma. The role requires comprehensive project management, time management, facilitation and event coordination skills.

We’re interested in candidates with extensive knowledge and experience of the HIV sector and the passion and drive to bring new ideas to the organisation that will support a diverse range of our clients to achieve optimal health and emotional wellbeing.

Working in a small team of dedicated, dynamic staff and volunteers committed to social change and action, you will have excellent program coordination, time management and communication skills, and strong attention to detail. You will be client focused, an excellent communicator and exhibit strong empathy, compassion and cultural awareness.

This SCHCADS Award level 5 position is offered part time (0.8 EFT), and located in Southbank, Melbourne. Generous salary packaging is available.
