Understanding safe sex and consent can be the difference between good sexual experiences and bad ones, especially for young adults exploring sex and sexuality.

We’re heading to RMIT for Consent Week, with a stall at the city campus’ weekly “Chill n Grill”. There’s free food for students, and the chance to explore information from us and other organisations whose work relates to themes of safe sex and consent.

Whether you are a person living with HIV or not, we all have a part to play in safe sex and informed consent.

Have you heard of U=U? Did you know that a third of new HIV diagnoses are people under the age of 30? Did you know that stigma and discrimination contribute to transmission rates, creating barriers for some people to get tested or seek treatment?

We’re working with the Student Collective and the RMIT Queer Department to answer any questions, address any issues, and provide information and support for all students.

We will be located outside at Alumni Courtyard with a marquee from 12PM – 2PM. If you’re a student at RMIT we’d love to meet you – come with questions or just to say hello.

Living Positive Victoria acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land where we work and live. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We celebrate the stories, culture and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders of all communities who also work and live on this land.
