The launch of our guide to Disclosing your HIV Status

You are invited to join us for the on line launch of our guide to disclosing your HIV status in Victoria with Guest Speaker Lynne Haultain, Executive Director, Victoria Law Foundation.

Disclosure of your HIV status is one of the main areas where the law affects the lives of people living with HIV. If you are thinking of disclosing your HIV status; or if someone else is asking you to, then this guide will help you to understand some of the legal issues involved. This guide may also help people such as counsellors and social workers who offer support services to people living with HIV. This is a guide to what the law says about disclosing your HIV status in Victoria. It includes:
• information about your right to privacy and freedom from discrimination; and
• how to protect these rights.

Also speaking at this event will be the editor of the guide, Living Positive Victoria’s Senior Policy and Research Officer, Craig Burnett.
