Who is a Long term Survivor?
Regardless of age, some of us have had HIV for a long while. According to the HIV Long-Term Survivors Awareness Day founder, this includes people who were diagnosed prior to accessing combination therapy around 1996 or diagnosed just after this year with AIDS and have had it for more than 25 years. This also includes people who were born with or acquired HIV as babies and are now in their 30s and 40s. This event will be a great opportunity to share experiences and connect with other long-term survivors.

Living Positive Victoria acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land where we work and live. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We celebrate the stories, culture and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders of all communities who also work and live on this land.
