Living Positive Victoria & Thorne Harbour Health’s HIV & Ageing Project is for all you Victorian folk with HIV and 50 years and over. All genders and sexualities. Our two programs continue as we head towards the end of the 2018.

PEER SUPPORT NETWORK

Guest speaker for this month will be Clovis Palmer. Clovis will cover the latest relating to ageing with HIV.

This is a great opportunity for you to meet up with your friends and even make new ones in a safe and confidential space.

It’s a monthly social gathering where you also get heaps of information on a whole range of HIV and Ageing related topics such as how to navigate a range of medical services for multiple health issues, housing, finance, treatments, retirement, emotional health issues, anxiety, depression, HIV disclosure, etc. You tell us what you want to talk about.

Saturday 27 October
11am – 1pm (lunch provided)
Melbourne Multicultural Hub, 506 Elizabeth Street, City (Opposite Queen Victoria Market)

  • Appropriate exercise for maintaining and improving strength, flexibility, and endurance.

Commencing Tuesday 13 November
6 – 8.30pm
and then every Tuesday finishing Tuesday 18 December
Please note that the last day will be flexible and we may finish on an earlier day if all the participants agree to it.

Here’s what previous participants have to say about it:

“Great workshop. Was good to learn new ideas and feedback from the other participants.”

“Overall it was a very affirming experience – challenging at times which was a good thing because it took me out of my comfort zone.”

“Was great to share and receive others’ thoughts, opinions, ideas and issues in a way that was open and non-judgmental. Thanks very much.”

The sessions are highly interactive, where mutual support and success will build your confidence in your ability to manage your own health and maintain an active and fulfilling life. As well as addressing other challenges such as depression, loneliness, isolation and stigma. By participating in this workshop you will gain valuable knowledge and skills to manage your HIV.
