Gen Next November Gathering
What you need to know about PrEP, U=U and how ‘coming out’ as positive can affect you.
Gen Next is a social group for young people living with HIV. We welcome people from all backgrounds inclusive of all genders and sexualities. It’s a safe and confidential space where you can meet other young people 30 and under.
We catch up regularly and talk about things like disclosure, sex and relationships or anything else at monthly discussion nights and events. If you’d like to join Gen Next please register here
At the November Gen Next gathering, we will explore your thoughts and experiences of receiving an HIV diagnosis in the era of PrEP and U=U and how the Australian media responds to high profile cases of ‘coming out’ as HIV positive..
HIV Advocates Steve Spencer and Nic Holas will be at the event to offer their insight into what it means to live with HIV today and how we can better combat stigma; both external and internal.
Steve Spencer marched with the TIM float at the 2019 Sydney Gay and lesbian Mardi Gras Parade. Since his HIV diagnosis as a prep user, he recently came out as positive and undetectable.
