Call for nominations

 

We’re moving into an exciting time in the HIV response with massive advancements in medical research and the development of the only state specific HIV strategy. We’re looking for passionate and talented people to govern the organisation as a member of the Board of Directors.

Living Positive Victoria has developed a new Strategic Plan for 2017 – 2020 that will keep people living with HIV at the forefront of the response and will require a new passionate team to align with the vision of Living Positive Victoria to see a world where people living with HIV live their lives to their full potential, in good health and free from discrimination.

Beyond ensuring the good governance of the organisation, elected Directors will play a significant role overseeing the implementation of this Plan as well as supporting our staff, volunteers and stakeholders through new opportunities and challenges as we work to advocate for the health and wellbeing of the HIV community in Victoria.

This is a terrific opportunity for strong leaders who have a genuine passion for advancing the rights of people living with HIV.

Nominations for Board positions open	28 August
Nominations close	22 September
Notice to valid nominees	27 September
Postal vote to members	28 September – 18 October
Living Positive Victoria AGM	19 October

Note: There are a total of nine (9) positions available. Six (6) of these positions must be held by full members of the organisation and are elected in by members. The remaining three (3) positions are open to individuals who choose not to disclose their status or are not living with HIV. Those three positions are voted in by the Board. All interested applicants are encouraged to apply at this time.
