Child Safety

Living Positive Victoria is strongly committed to the safety and well-being of all children who use our services. The welfare of children is a top priority and we have zero tolerance for child abuse. All children using Living Positive Victoria services have a right to feel and be safe, respected, valued and protected from harm. We have policies and procedures in place to create and maintain a safe environment for children. Living Positive Victoria is committed to protecting children from physical, sexual, emotional, psychological, and cultural abuse and neglect.

All Living Positive Victoria staff, board members and volunteers must hold a current Working with Children Check and are required to comply with the Living Positive Victoria Child Safety Code of Conduct for board members, employees, volunteers and contractors. All adults who attend family events at which children are present are required to read and abide by the Living Positive Victoria Child Safety Code of Conduct for Service Users.

Living Positive Victoria acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land where we work and live. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We celebrate the stories, culture and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders of all communities who also work and live on this land.
