Opposites Attract Community Forum
FreeThe Opposites Attract Study was an observational cohort study of male homosexual serodiscordent couples being conducted in Australia, Brazil and Thailand. (Serodiscordent means where one partner is HIV-positive and the other partner is HIV-negative). Run by the Kirby Institute at the University of New South Wales, this study has been critical in better understanding HIV treatment as prevention (TasP) both locally and internationally.
This session will provide an overview of the final results, presented initially in Paris at the International AIDS Society Conference 2017 and for the first time here in Melbourne. Community and sector stakeholders will be provided the opportunity to ask questions of researcher Dr Benjamin Bavinton and reflect on the implications of the data through a facilitated, interactive panel discussion.
Attendees are encourage to arrive at 6pm for refreshments.
